Hi MES Famlies!
I know everyone has been waiting to see how schools are going to look in the fall, and some answers are finally just around the corner. The School Reopening Task Force has started their meetings, and there are 2 meetings left before the school board will decide on how to move forward with this coming school year. We want to hear from you about what you would like to see happen next year, ideas you may have, what worked at the end of last year and what didn't. We will make sure your voice is heard through this process.
Please take this survey to help us be your voice in the Reopening Task Force Meetings
The school board will be meeting on July 31 and announcing their decision on August 1st. The first day of school is August 19, but what that day looks like is still up in the air. With the huge uptick in local positive cases this past week, it is making it much harder for the school to confidently open with kids in seat. So, everyone please be vigilant in wearing your masks and socially distancing, and encourage those around you to do the same.
If you would like to see what the district is looking at to help decide if it is safe to open, you can find a very useful graphic on the district's site that they are updating regularly. This shows you each area they are considering and where each area falls in their individual risk level.

Also, we mentioned last week that Box Tops is offering 10 schools $10,000 and we want your help in winning by downloading their app and scanning your grocery receipts. They have just announced that they will be offering 2 additional schools $20,000 each. Let all work together to be one of those lucky recipients! See below for more information.
Thanks so much for all your support!
