Happy August to everyone!
The first day of school is right around the corner on August 19th! I know there are still a lot of questions going around the community about what that is going to look like, so please make sure to listen in on Tuesday (August 4th) at 5:30pm to learn about what the MES school reopening will look like this fall, including comparing the Flex program vs. the MILES program. This meeting is dedicated to the elementary school only, and it will hopefully answer a lot of your questions. Remember, August 7th is the deadline for enrolling in the MILES program, and if you do not sign up for MILES, your children will be automatically enrolled in the Flex program.

On another note, we are very excited to announce that the Husky Pup Fun Run tradition will continue! Lindsay Barksdale has been hard at work this summer making sure we are able to pull off this event in a safe and responsible way without sacrificing any of the fun. We will have more details on the Fun Run at our general meeting this Thursday.
If you are like us and are suffering from decision fatigue (it's a real thing!) and could really use a glass of wine or 3, you can now have that wine while supporting our school district. The Mammoth Wine Walk has gone virtual! All wine for the ghost package has been donated, allowing The Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation to receive *100%* of all ghost package purchases, and 50% of proceeds on all other packages. This year, MMCF is supporting MUSD through a technology donation and will be offering after school tutoring for all students K-12 to help ensure all of our students are able to keep up during distance learning. Let's show them how much we appreciate their support!

We know there's a lot going on right now as everyone is gearing up for the start of school, and we are doing our best to keep everyone informed and up to date. Please join us this Thursday (August 6th) for our general meeting at 6:30 pm (zoom link coming soon!) to learn about everything the PTO is doing to help support our school during distance learning and to find out what you can do to help (even from your own home!).
Hope to see you on Thursday!
